Church in the Dirt

Church in the Dirt is a 15-20 minute non-denominational Chapel service on the Sunday of larger BMX events, such as a National, State Championship, or Gold Cup race.

We have several great individuals who graciously volunteer to lead our Church in the Dirt services across the country, but we could always use more. We are looking for men and women of Christian faith who have a heart for God and a desire to share the Gospel to the BMX community.

Be a loud speaker (BMX races are noisy, haha!)

Statement of Faith

Christian Sports International (CSI) claims the Great Commission in the book of Matthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nation through the power of the Holy Spirit". CSI endeavors to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to the unsaved and unchurched through participation in a wide spectrum of sports and special events.

CSI believes that Jesus Christ died for the sins of mankind and provided the way to eternal life. All men and women have the potential to be saved and called by God. In answering this call, CSI disciples through the direction of the Holy Spirit. CSI desires to see souls discipled for God's kingdom, and to demonstrate love by teaching the truth.
CSI believes that the Bible in its entirety is the inspired Word of God and the only infallible rule of Faith. (2 Timothy 3:16)
CSI believes that there is only one God, maker of all things, being the Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, John 15:26, II Corinthians 13:14)
CSI believes that Jesus Christ, Incarnate Son of God, was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. (Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 1:27-28)
CSI believes that there is personal salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ for all who believe. (Matthew 26:28, Revelation 1:5)
CSI believes that sexual purity is a necessary expression for all God’s children and requires abstinence from adultery, fornication, incest, homosexuality or other sexual relationships or practices forbidden by Scripture. (Hebrews 13:4; I Corinthians 6:18; Leviticus 18:1-30)
CSI believes that world evangelism and missionary work is the Lord's great commission to His church. (Mark 16:15 and 20, Acts 1:8)
CSI believes that there will be a resurrection of the dead, eternal happiness for the saved and eternal punishment for the lost. (John 3:16-18, John 11:25-26)
CSI believes that the Christian hope is the imminent personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Titus 2:13)
